4.5⭐ I absolutely loved this story. But the first couple of chapters seriously? Kids feeding peacocks, talk about giving a girl nightmares. But apart from that terrifying visual this was a lovely story. That was full of charming characters, and lots of warmth and promise. Not to mention sweetness, love and family, and I was easily absorbed throughout. Plus, I loved how Gideon and Rose's romance developed, and how two sweet, endearing six-year olds conspired to bring them together. And peacocks aside, I genuinely had a great time reading this story, and there's no denying it left me feeling extremely contended which is why I would happily recommend it to others, especially if you're looking for a well written, satisfying romance to curl up with for a couple of hours.

Captivating In Love Maverick Billionaires # 6 Bella Andre, Jennifer Skully ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So so sweet. It is always a pleasure to read any story from Bella, and this is another great story. The Mavericks are rich, kind and look after their own, this includes Ariana, Gideon, Rosie, Jorge and Chi. All from a foster background these family members are as much a blood as the real Mavericks. Rosie has been in her own for a long time, she gave birth and has raised her gorgeous boy, Jorge ( no pun intended). She doesn’t have time for men, but the senses, and butterflies she gets from Gideon leaves many questions and definite wants. During Ari and Matt’s wedding she spends time with guarded brother of the bride, Gideon, but these two are about spend more time together while he babysits Matt and Ari’s 4 yr old Noah. Gideon is so glad to see his sister married, as an officer in the defence force, Gideon lost his sister through the foster sister, but when he got her back he got so much more. He carries serious mental scars from serving in the Middle East, in a matter of days his life and memories will be bought to the surface by two inquisitive boys and one very sexy woman. Jorge and Noah plan the ultimate get together for Rosie and Gideon, and it was so cute. I do love seeing a main character taking a back seat to a child… they carry a certain presence in a story that is just not like an adult. Anyway, Gideon and Rosie bounce around their sexual chemistry, but when another part of their past shows their faces the realism of their feelings is bought forward, leaving them no option but to jump in. He will save her from an aweful future, wake she saves him from himself. Opening up to her about his past, the things he saw, the death of his friends sees him open another world in the way of a painting. Everything he always wanted is there, now he has to jump in head first to claim it all.

I debated about whether I should give this book a four or five star rating. I am always happy to read a book by these writers, and I try to be completely objective. I felt like it was going to be a minimum of 4, but once I started reading, I was hooked. I had to go with five stars. Four would not have done it justice, at least not for me. I love Bella Andre's work. When Bella and Jennifer Skully get together, you are pretty much guaranteed a winner. I also like the way the circumference of the original Maverick circle is increasing. Gideon and Rosie's story drew me in from the very first page. The way Gideon's character was written, you could feel how closed off he was from not only the Maverick's, but the rest of the world. There were only two exceptions that got the full fledged Gideon. Rosie was sweetness and light. I don't mean that in a sarcastic or derogatory way. Rosie was very genuine and kind, wanting what was best for her son and her friends. I had to admire the way Rosie concentrated her efforts on getting Gideon to break down those walls. My admiration increased when she went head to head with a past entanglement. Gideon and Rosie's interactions with Jorge and Noah made the entire relationship even more special. There is a sweetness, a kindness, a gentleness, and a strong sense of family that makes the Maverick books very special. They all have an element of heat woven into a layer of sensuality. I just like the way this book made me feel. It was truly a captivating read that once I started it, I did not put it down until the last page. I am really looking forward to the next book in the Maverick series. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
