I was thirteen years old when I first went to London with my parents to visit my Aunt and Uncle. Even as a teenager, I was blown away by the architecture, the lush parks, and the wonderful accents. Not to mention the delicious afternoon tea! Who doesn't love tiny finger sandwiches, scones and jam? I was lucky enough to return to London for an overnight trip in college, and then again a few years later for a few blissful vacation days with my boyfriend (who became my husband!). I love to travel and experience new cultures, but over the years I always find myself wanting to head back to England, especially now that my best friend lives in London.When I first began writing about the Sullivans in 2011, I hoped I'd be lucky enough to tell their love stories around the world. Now that my dream has become a reality, I had to make London my first stop outside of the United States. Plus, I've always wanted to write a book set in a bookstore. After all, is there anything better than a room full of books?I hope you love taking the trip to London to meet the British branch of the Sullivan family and to spend time in the bookstore that the story revolves around! And don't worry, there will be another Maine Sullivan coming very soon. In fact, I am writing the third Maine Sullivan right now, and I can't wait for you to read it early next year.
